List of Bharat Ratna award winners year wise in India (1954 – 2022)
Bharat Ratna is the most prestigious award in India. This award is established in the year 1954 on 2nd January . In older days these awards were given only to people who were in the fields such as literature, science, arts and public services, but now these awards are also being to persons who makes great efforts to achieve something important. Every year nominees for this award is suggested by the Prime Minister to the President with maximum of three nominees. The award winners receive a peepal-leaf–shaped medallion and a Certificate (Sanad) signed by the President of India. About 16 people were awarded after death.

Harshaali Malhotra (actress) received the Bharat Ratna Award 2021 for the movie ‘ Bajrangi Bhaijaan ‘ (Indian Hindi film) released in the year 2015. Nanaji Deshmukh is also known as Chandikadas Amritrao Deshmukh born on 11th October 1916 (Wednesday) and passed away on 27th February 2010 (Saturday). Posthumously on the year 2019 he was Honored with Bharath Ratna award. He is also Honored with Padma Vibhushan in the year 1999, Dnyaneswar in the year 2005 and Naresh Sanata Puraskar in the year 2006. He is General Secretary of Bhartiya Jana Sangh (BJS) From 1950 to 1977. Then he became member of the Lok Sabha on the year 1977. After in the year 1999 he was nominated to the Rajya Sabha .

Bhupendra Kumar Hazarika is a actor, film director and playback singer/composer. Bhupendra Kumar Hazarika was born in the year 1926 on 8th September (Sunday) and passed away in the year 2011 on 5th November 2011 (Saturday). Bhupendra Kumar Hazarika Posthumously on the year 2019 he was Honored with Bharath Ratna award. Bhupendra Kumar Hazarika is also honored with Padma Shri in 1977, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1987, Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 1992, Padma Bhushan in 2001, Assam Ratna Award in 2009 and Padma Vibhushan in 2012.

Pranab Mukherjee Served as the 13th President of India from 25th July 2012 to 25th July 2017. Pranab Mukherjee was honored with Bharath Ratna award in the year 2019. Pranab Mukherjee is also honored with Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
